THE BEGINING
Intense peat smoke lets you know you’ve got a serious Islay single malt on your hands. Then nosedive into a fruitier, creamier feel of soft, rich oak, silky custard and vanilla. But don’t get comfortable – this is only the start.
HALFWAY
Brace for a hit of oily black smoke with a rich, heavy mouth-coating peaty feel. Then comes a sweet sticky flavour of barbecued banana and tangy sultanas and dried fruits
THE FINALE
Peat returns, just as you hoped or feared it would. This time it’s brought some authentic Spanish sherry oakiness, pleasingly and disturbingly sweet. And one last sharp, salty reminder that you’re not dealing with the ordinary here.

A cocktail tribute to Marshall Apps founder Jim Marshall, known as both the father of loud and a whisky fiend - our kind of guy.
Method
Add Smokehead Sherry Bomb, vermouth, Campari and ice into a mixing glass or whatever takes your fancy. Give it a good stir, then chuck a couple of ice cubes into an Old-Fashioned glass, strain your mixture into the glass and serve immediately.
